James Mick

James Mick is the Managing Director and Senior Portfolio Manager – Energy at Tortoise Capital Advisors. James has over 15 years of experience in the financial industry.

Mick began their career as an auditor at Ernst & Young LLP from 2000 to 2003. James then transitioned to GE Insurance Solutions as a Financial Analyst from 2003 to 2006. In their current role at Tortoise Capital Advisors, they are responsible for managing energy portfolios and providing investment advice to clients.

Mick has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Missouri-Columbia. James is a Certified Public Accountant and a Chartered Financial Analyst.
