Petteri Hamalainen

Petteri Hamalainen has worked in various roles in the tech industry since 1992. In 1992, they were a Summer Trainee at Outokumpu. Petteri then worked at ABB in 1993 and 1994 as a Summer Trainee. From 1996 to 2000, Petteri was a Teacher/Hourly Instructor at Oulu University of Applied Sciences, where they taught programming in Java, C, C++, Windows programming, Visual Basic, and Microsoft Office tools. From 2000 to 2013, they worked at Nokia Networks as a Product Manager and SW Designer/Specialist. From 2013 to 2019, they were a Product Manager at Dedicated Network Partners, where they managed a set of software applications for Network Management System solution. From 2019 to 2020, they were a Product Manager and Product Development Manager at Tosibox, where they steered VPN router and workstation client products and navigated between sales and R&D. Currently, Petteri is a Cyber Security Analyst at elfGROUP Cyber Security Services Ltd, where they work in the field of administrative and technical cybersecurity.

Petteri Hamalainen obtained their Specialist vocational qualification in Leadership and Business Management from the Management Institute of Finland MIF Oy in 2022, with a focus on Business Administration and Management, General. Petteri also obtained their Physical Sciences degree from the University of Oulu in 1999, with a focus on Subject-teacher. Additionally, they obtained a Cybersecurity Foundations certification from LinkedIn in September of 2020, as well as a CompTIA Security+ ce Certification from CompTIA in July of 2020.
