Greg Knief

Greg Knief has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Greg started their career in 2001 at Hamptons Online, LLC, where they began as an IT Manager and later took on the roles of Field Technician and Technical Support Representative. During their tenure, they managed daily IT operations, led a team of help desk and telecom support personnel, and provided support to local businesses and individuals for network and computer issues.

In 2008, Greg worked as a Master Technician at Mason Technologies Inc., where they were involved in multiple projects for low voltage cabling and installation of security networks for private businesses.

Greg continued their career at Telecom Tech Services in 2009, again as a Master Technician, contributing to various projects related to low voltage cabling and installation of security networks.

From 2009 to 2013, Greg joined Motorola Solutions as part of the Data Center Operations team. Their responsibilities included maintaining and supporting data center equipment, overseeing backup operations, and acting as the Windows Server Administrator.

In 2013, Greg transitioned to RBS Greenwich Capital, where they took on the role of Data Center Operations/Site Lead. Greg was responsible for managing daily data center operations, network infrastructure, technology replacement, and installation of new equipment and cabling. Greg also managed the server inventory database, tape backup inventory, and collaborated with the network team to resolve connectivity issues.

Most recently, in 2019, Greg joined Total Deployment Solutions as a Project Manager. Details about their specific role and responsibilities in this position are not provided.

Greg Knief received their Associate of Science degree in Culinary Arts from Johnson & Wales University, where they studied from 1983 to 1985. In addition to their degree, Greg has obtained multiple certifications. Greg received their A+ certification from CompTIA in February 2006 and their Network+ certification in March 2008. Greg also holds CIW Site Designer and CIW Foundations certifications from Certification Partners (CIW), which they obtained in September 2001 and February 2001, respectively. Lastly, Greg received their Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician certification from Cisco in May 2009.
