Mrs Mary Muiruri holds a Bachelor of Technology Degree in Production Engineering from Moi University and an MBA in International Trade from the University of Nairobi. She is a member in good standing of the Institute of Engineers of Kenya (IEK). She brings onboard experience in manufacturing having worked in Kenya Railways Central workshops in the Foundry shop, EA Steel Manufacturers and Firestone & Bridgestone Tyre manufacturer as an Industrial Engineer. She has over 20 years of experience in the downstream oil business having worked for ExxonMobil, where she did a short stint in Cairo Egypt, and Chevron before joining TotalEnergies Marketing Kenya Plc in 2009. She has served in various positions within TotalEnergies including supply and trading shipping operations. She was in charge of the solar project for Africa, based in Paris, and also served as Commercial Director for general trade and mines and head of Katanga province in DR Congo. In August 2021she was appointed HSEQ Manager and prior to this appointment, she was the PRISM and Regional optimization manager for East Africa based in Kenya.
