Brian Horton began their work experience as a Project Manager and Estimator at DRG Construction from October 2007 to December 2008. Brian then worked at Northwind Engineering, LLC as a Senior Project Manager, Chief Estimator, and Senior Proposal Manager from January 2009 to November 2011. During their time at Northwind Engineering, they helped establish the company as the Pittsburgh District SBA Small Business of the Year in 2011 and managed contracts totaling over $150 million.
Horton then served as the Director of Operations at Wycliffe Enterprises from November 2011 to April 2013 before becoming a Project Executive at Pernix Group, Inc. from April 2013 to March 2015. In this role, they managed the company's United States/CONUS operations and provided overall management for existing projects while also developing new business opportunities.
From March 2015 to November 2015, Horton worked as a Preconstruction Manager at dck worldwide, LLC, followed by a position as a Senior Manager, Projects at JLL from May 2016 to May 2018. At JLL, they provided professional planning and hands-on management for multiple projects for Bank of America.
Horton then worked as an A-E Program Manager at Centerline Solutions from May 2018 to July 2019 before joining Leaf Communications as a Senior Construction Manager from August 2019 to March 2020. Brian later served as the Director, Construction Management from March 2020 to January 2021 and Vice President, Construction Management from January 2021 to March 2022 at Leaf Communications.
Currently, Horton is the President and CEO of Total Site Services Inc, a company they joined in March 2022. In this role, they focus on construction management services and oversees in-house Architectural and Engineering services. Total Site Services is staffed with experienced individuals who handle various construction project types. Additionally, Horton has been an Advisory Board Member at CM Fusion since June 2015. CM Fusion is a cloud-based construction management software program targeted towards small businesses to help them manage construction projects effectively and efficiently.
Brian Horton attended Carnegie Mellon University from 1990 to 1994, where they obtained two Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degrees. One B.S. degree was in Industrial Management, and the other was in Economics. Additionally, they have several certifications, including LEED G.A. from the U.S. Green Building Council obtained in March 2014 and Anti-terrorism Level I certified from the US Department of Homeland Security obtained in August 2012. Brian has also completed courses related to CCASS-CPARS, DHS HSPD-12 adjudication, Department of Justice NACI clearance, OSHA 30hr for Construction, OSHA 40hr HAZWoper, Red Cross CPR and First Aid certification, and USACE CQM certification, although specific dates for these certifications are not provided.
