Andrew Japhta

Andrew Japhta has a diverse work experience in the engineering industry. Andrew has held various positions in different companies throughout their career.

Starting in 1998, Japhta worked as the Head of Maintenance at Mittal Steel until 2003. Following this, they joined PetroSA as a Senior Completions Engineer from 2003 to 2013.

In 2013, Japhta joined Maersk Oil as a Senior Workover Engineer and worked there until 2018.

Currently, Japhta is employed at TotalEnergies, where they have held multiple roles. Andrew began as a Senior Well Integrity Engineer from 2018 to 2020, then transitioned to the position of Senior Completions Engineer until 2023. Currently, they hold the role of Lead Completions Engineer.

Andrew Japhta completed a Management Development Program at Stellenbosch Business School, with a focus on Project Management in 1997. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Technology degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cape Peninsula University of Technology between 1993 and 1996.
