Marko Djokic

Marko Djokic is a highly skilled engineer and researcher specializing in chemical engineering, currently serving as a Cracking Furnace Engineer at TotalEnergies since September 2020. Previously, Marko held the position of Postdoctoral Assistant at Ghent University from July 2011 to September 2020, managing EU and interregional projects focused on the characterization and pyrolysis of petroleum, biomass, and plastic waste, while also assisting in teaching a course on Safety, Health and Environmental Management. Marko's extensive research experience includes steam cracking and pyrolysis of diverse feedstocks, utilizing advanced analytical techniques such as comprehensive two-dimensional gas chromatography. Early career experience includes a role as a Research Trainee at the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy, University of Belgrade, where Marko focused on catalyst synthesis and experimentation for biodiesel production. Marko completed a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering at Ghent University and holds Master's and Bachelor's degrees in the same field from the University of Belgrade.
