Philippe Orts has extensive work experience in various leadership roles in the energy industry. Philippe began their career at Fina Chemicals, where they served as a Technical Service Engineer for Italy and Spain, launching new products in the film converting market. Philippe then moved on to Fina Oil and Chemical Company, where they worked as a Technical Service Engineer for the Central and Eastern USA and Canada, adapting and launching polymer products in the North American market. At Total Petrochemicals, they held the positions of European Marketing Manager for Polypropylene and General Marketing Manager for PE Europe, leading strategic business initiatives and managing teams in Europe and China. Philippe later joined Total as a Corporate Strategy Planning Specialist, evaluating investment projects and assisting in decision-making, before becoming a Corporate Strategy Project Manager, driving a large restructuration project. At Total Rafinaderij Antwerpen, they served as the General Secretary, managing a shared service center supporting the company's industrial activities. Philippe then moved on to Total Global Services, where they held the role of Vice President of Corporate Affairs, overseeing the transformation program and managing various divisions. Currently, they are the Vice President of the HR Services department at TotalEnergies, responsible for defining and enforcing the worldwide HR strategy for Total's Refining & Chemicals Branch. Throughout their career, Philippe has demonstrated strong leadership, strategic planning, and negotiation skills.
Philippe Orts obtained a Master's degree in Chemical (Civil) Engineering from the Université de Liège between 1990 and 1995. Philippe then pursued a Master's degree in Business Economics from KU Leuven from 1995 to 1996. In 2007, they attended INSEAD for a short-term program called MAP/YMP in Business Economics.
