Karen Bach

Karen Bach is an experienced operations leader with a strong background in laboratory and facilities management. Currently serving as the Director of Operations at Totus Medicines since July 2022, Karen has successfully operationalized a 34,000 sq ft R&D lab, managed substantial construction projects, and overseen the procurement of approximately $5M in lab equipment. Prior to this role, as Head of Lab Operations Support at Invitae, Karen expanded the team to 40 members and managed critical lab support functions, including overseeing $10M in equipment assets. Previous experience includes positions in process engineering at Synthego Corporation and GRAIL, as well as technical operations at Illumina. Karen holds a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology with a minor in Health Science from San Diego State University.
