Job description

TouchBistro is seeking a Product Owner to join our Product team! As a Product Owner, you will play a central role in helping shape the experiences of our restaurant management platform, including Point-of-Sale (POS) products and core functionality (i.e. menu, staff, and others). We are looking for an adept, collaborative, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic candidate with a passion for problem-solving. This individual will help execute the development of our platform for all of TouchBistro’s customers. 

Your Day-to-Day

  • Contribute to translating customer needs and market requirements into concise user stories and acceptance criteria
  • In-line with the product roadmap, create and maintain a detailed backlog, sprint plan (in coordination with engineering leads), and release plan (in coordination with go-to-market stakeholders) for launching product updates
  • Work closely with Product engineering and design teams on a day-to-day basis; participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, grooming and sprint retrospective meetings
  • Collaborate with designers, engineers, marketing, sales, and support to take product features from ideation to release and on-going operation (go-to-market and organizational readiness)
  • Possess a high level of understanding the needs of restaurants, their staff and guests to and deliver a best in class experience via the TouchBistro platform  

All About You

Must Haves:

  • You have 1-3 years of experience as a Product Owner or working with product development and engineering teams  
  • You have experience in the Software industry
  • You hold a Bachelor's degree or diploma in business, technology or related field(s)
  • You exhibit strong communication skills (both written & verbal)
  • You are highly organized & able to manage your time effectively and efficiently

Nice to Haves:

  • You have experience in SQL
  • Scrum Product Owner designation / certification is a bonus!
