Rahul Daryanani

Rahul Daryanani joined Touchdown Ventures in 2019.

He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Babson College with a dual-concentration in Finance and Strategic Management. Prior to Touchdown, Rahul was an Associate at Arbor Ventures – a FinTech focused early-stage VC fund based in Hong Kong. Rahul also spent time working within Business Development and Strategy for EMQ, an early-stage FinTech startup focused on cross-border financial settlement. Rahul’s current focus at Touchdown includes opportunities across ConstructionTech and Industry 4.0 through the lens of frontier tech applications utilizing the Internet of Things, Additive Manufacturing, and Artificial Intelligence, among others.

Rahul has spent time investing across the capital structure, making direct investments in asset classes ranging from Private Credit to Venture Capital. He worked as Private Equity Analyst at Liberty Mutual Investments, where he focused on direct co-investments and LP investments. He was also an Associate at Arbor Ventures, where he evaluated investments across the FinTech value-chain with a focus on InsurTech and Payments. Wanting to diversify his experience and further understand startup mechanics, Rahul joined EMQ, an early-stage FinTech based in HK. At EMQ Rahul worked directly with the CEO to provide insight and contribute to shaping strategy on a variety of company initiatives and technologies. He was also actively involved in Business Development and fundraising for the company’s Series B round of financing.
