Gemma Hoynes

Gemma Hoynes has diverse work experience in various industries. Gemma started their career as a Hotel Services Assistant at Bon Secours Health System Ireland in 2012, where they were responsible for housekeeping and general cleaning duties. From 2016 to 2018, Gemma worked as a Team Leader at The Kings Tun, supervising and motivating a team of bartenders and waiters. Gemma then transitioned to a managerial role at An Playfield B&B from 2018 to 2019, overseeing all aspects of the business and managing budgets. In 2020, Gemma worked as a Digital Marketing Associate at Palm Free (Zero Waste) Irish Soap LTD, developing online marketing strategies and promoting web-based resources. Gemma then joined Cignpost Diagnostics in 2021 as a Scientist, where they validated and analyzed qPCR assays, managed junior staff, and ensured quality controls were implemented. Currently, Gemma is working as a Manufacturing Scientist at Touchlight.

Gemma Hoynes has a diverse education history. Gemma obtained a Master's degree in SEC Research Molecular Biology, Biophysics, and Biochemistry from Kingston University between 2019 and 2021. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biomedical Sciences, General at Kingston University from 2015 to 2018. In 2013 and 2014, Gemma pursued a Certificate in Science with a focus on Biopharmaceutical Processing at the Institute of Technology, Sligo. Additionally, they hold a Certificate in Science in Animal Sciences from Colaiste Chiarain in Croom, Co. Limerick, Ireland, which they obtained in 2010 and 2011.

Aside from their formal education, Gemma has also acquired additional certifications. Gemma completed a certification course titled "Managing Your Anxiety While Presenting" at LinkedIn in January 2021. Furthermore, in the same month and institution, they obtained a certification called "Smart Thinking: Overcoming Complexity."
