James Kelly has worked as an iOS Developer since 2012. From 2012 to 2013, they worked at SmartEbook.com Co.,Ltd., where they were part of a team of 5 responsible for creating e-book/photo sharing applications for iOS, with localization for the Japanese and Chinese markets. James was responsible for implementing photo-sharing API functionality, adding image editing components, and maintaining/updating legacy apps to transition to new versions of iOS. From 2013 to 2016, they worked at Rakuten, where they worked in a large corporate environment to develop the Ichiba shopping app which enjoyed many hundreds of thousands of session per day with a Japanese user base of over 6 million. James refactored large portions of the code base to reduce maintenance and development time of the app. Since 2016, they have been working as Lead iOS Developer at TouchNote.
James Kelly obtained a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Literary Studies from the University of Glasgow.
