Matt Klahn

Matt Klahn has extensive work experience in the energy management and sustainability sector. Matt currently holds the position of Director of Buildings & Engineering at Touchstone IQ since January 2022. Prior to this, Matt worked at Overlay Consulting, where they held various roles including Director of Operations from July 2021 to January 2022, Director of Energy Engineering from January 2019 to July 2021, Senior Energy Engineer from September 2018 to January 2019, and Energy Engineer from June 2014 to September 2018. At Overlay Consulting, they specialized in providing energy efficiency and sustainability services to clients in both the public and private sectors. Before joining Overlay Consulting, Matt worked as an Energy Efficiency and Sustainability Engineer at CB&I from June 2012 to July 2014, where they conducted energy audits and calculated utility and cost savings for clients in various industries. Matt also has experience working as a Baggage Wrangler at Devil's Thumb Ranch from December 2011 to May 2012 and as an Intern at Natural Capitalism Solutions from May 2011 to December 2011.

Matt Klahn obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder from 2007 to 2011. In terms of additional certifications, they became a Professional Engineer (PE) in 2018 through the Wyoming board of Professional Engineers and Professional Land Surveyors. Matt also obtained the certification of Certified Energy Manager (CEM) from AEE in 2015.
