Tom Cooney has extensive experience in the tourism and hospitality industry, currently serving as the Director and CEO of Tourism Adventure Group (TAG) since August 2019. Cooney is also the founder of DIVE PARADISE and co-founder of Yaycations, both established in 2016 and 2017, respectively. Previously, Cooney held the role of Chief Operating Officer at both Nomads Adventure Company and Base from March 2019 to June 2023. Cooney's earlier experience includes serving as Group Food and Beverage Operations Manager at TAG, President of Magnetic Island Tourism, and General Manager of Base Back. Cooney's consulting experience includes work with Surfcoast Wholefoods, alongside a background as Aquatics Director at the Union for Reform Judaism from 2003 to 2010. Educational qualifications include attendance at Caulfield Grammar School and certification as an Emergency Responder from the American Red Cross.
