Azlan Othman has a diverse work experience in the finance and audit field. Azlan started their career as an Audit Assistant at Jalil & Co, Chartered Accountants in 2002. Later, they joined Tourism Malaysia in 2002 and held the position of Accountant and then Head of Internal Audit until 2012. From 2012 to 2019, they worked at the Islamic Tourism Centre as the Director of Corporate Development and Finance. Currently, they are serving as the Deputy Director of the Finance Division at Tourism Malaysia.
Azlan Othman obtained a Bachelor of Accountancy (Hons.) degree from the National University of Malaysia (UKM) from 1999 to 2002. Prior to that, they attended MARA College Seremban from 1998 to 1999 for matriculation in the field of Accounting. Azlan also attended MARA Junior Science College (MRSM) in Kuala Berang from 1996 to 1997. Azlan'ssecondary education was completed at Sekolah Menengah Sultan Sulaiman in Kuala Terengganu from 1993 to 1996. Azlan's primary education took place at Sekolah Rendah Sultan Sulaiman 1 in Kuala Terengganu from 1987 to 1992. In addition to their academic qualifications, Azlan obtained the certification of C.A(M) from the Malaysian Institute of Accountants in 2006.

Our History The Tourist Development Corporation of Malaysia (TDC) was established on 10 August 1972 as an agency under the former Ministry of Trade and Industry by an Act of Parliament. With the inception of the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Tourism on 20 May 1987, TDC was moved to this new ministry; and became the Malaysia Tourism Promotion Board (MTPB) through the Malaysia Tourism Promotion Board Act 1992. Popularly known as Tourism Malaysia, its full focus is on promoting Malaysia domestically and internationally.
