Cheryl Wilks, CPA, CA, is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in accounting systems and processes. Currently serving as Team Lead for Finance Systems and Processes at Tourmaline Oil Corp since April 2017, Cheryl leads a team to develop strategies for optimizing financial planning and reporting. Previous roles include internal audit at WestJet, Manager of Budgets at Baytex Energy Corp, and Senior Financial Analyst at Advantage Energy Income Fund. At Baytex, Cheryl successfully managed a corporate responsibility report and played a pivotal role in implementing a company-wide Business Intelligence tool, contributing to key budgeting processes.
