Alba Méndez

Alba M. is currently engaged in the FIMM EMBL international PhD programme at the Institute for Molecular Medicine Finland (FIMM) since August 2023. Previously, Alba M. completed a Master's research apprenticeship in the Neuroplasticity and Regeneration group at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona from November 2022 to July 2023. Earlier research experience includes a Bachelor's research internship at the University of Helsinki, focusing on RNA repeat toxicity disorders from February to June 2022, and an undergraduate research internship in the Neuroplasticity and Regeneration group at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona from July to September 2021. Alba M. also conducted a high school research project at the Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal) under the supervision of Clara Ballesté in September 2017. Academically, Alba M. holds a Master's degree in Neuroscience from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (September 2022 - July 2023) and a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Sciences from Universitat de Barcelona (September 2018 - June 2022).
