Darren Beattie

Darren Beattie has extensive experience in information security and IT operations, currently serving as Head of Information Security at Tower Insurance since November 2018, following roles including Modern Workplace and Security Operations Manager and Manager of Networks & Access. Prior to Tower Insurance, Darren worked at Lexel Systems Limited as Managed Services Manager, leading a team responsible for supporting IT infrastructure. Darren also held the position of Service Delivery Manager at Spark Digital NZ, overseeing local government clients, and has a long tenure at Spark New Zealand with various managerial roles focused on operational efficiency and incident management. Earlier career experience includes working as a Senior Professional Networks and Firewalls at BT and as a Senior Infrastructure Consultant at ITNET PLC. The career began in the Royal Air Force as a Telecommunications Engineer, contributing to significant advancements in communication systems.
