Job description

Tower Research Capital, a high-frequency proprietary trading firm founded in 1998, seeks a talented and experienced Production Trader to join a Market Making team focusing on futures, ETFs and stocks in a fully automatised, low latency environment.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the systems operate smoothly: run and monitor the trading systems
  • Manage book sizes and various risks
  • In charge of pricing of ETFs, EFPs, BTICs
  • Propose enhancements to the strategies/systems: work in conjunction with IT and Quants.

Qualifications

  • Masters or PhD degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or equivalent STEM degree
  • 3-7 years experience in the financial industry (experience in quantitative trading is preferred but not a requirement)
  • A strong background in STEM
  • Proficiency in back-testing, simulation, and statistical techniques (auto-regression, auto-correlation and Principal Component Analysis)
  • Solid data-mining and analysis skills, including experience dealing with a large amount of data/tick data
  • Familiarity with signal generation and statistical models
  • Strong programming skills in Python 
  • Working knowledge of Linux and familiarity with SQL
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

Anticipated New York annual base salary range $120,000-200,000, plus eligible for discretionary bonus
