Darlene Ohlenbusch has a diverse work experience in the field of education. Darlene started their career as a 4th grade teacher at Sand Lake Elementary School in 1986. Darlene then worked as a Special Education Teacher at the Perkins School for the Blind from 1987 to 1991. During that time, they also served as the Supervisor for the Deaf/Blind Summer School in 1990. From 1991 to 1997, Darlene worked as a Special Education Teacher at the Concord Area Special Education Collaborative. In 1994, they briefly served as the Assistant Supervisor for the Summer School at CASE Collaborative. Darlene joined the North Andover Public Schools as a Special Education Teacher from 1997 to 1998. Darlene then became a Japanese Language Teacher & Assistant at Acton Public School from 1998 to 2001. Finally, they worked at the Town of Andover as a Special Education Teacher, where they led the EXCEL program at West Middle School and coordinated various mentoring programs for students.
Darlene Ohlenbusch pursued their education in the field of Special Education and Teaching. Darlene completed their Bachelor of Science degree at The Sage Colleges - Russell Sage College from 1982 to 1986. Later, from 1988 to 1989, they attended Boston College to earn a Master of Education degree in Deaf/Blind Multihandicapped Education.
