Mapp Steve Tricarico

Steve Tricarico, MAPP, MBA has extensive experience in government and public works. Steve served as the Chief Deputy Superintendent of Highways for the Town of Brookhaven, where they managed day-to-day operations and oversaw infrastructure projects. Steve developed strong relationships with elected officials within the town, working on constituent services and legislative initiatives. Additionally, they worked as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Farmingdale State College.

Prior to their role in Brookhaven, Tricarico was the District Manager for the Long Island Power Authority. In this position, they were the primary contact for governmental and community affairs, building relationships with elected officials and managing road clearing and electrical restoration efforts after severe weather events.

Earlier in their career, Tricarico worked in the Suffolk County Executive's Office, where they served as an Assistant to the Chief Deputy County Executive and as the County Executive Assistant for Intergovernmental Relations. Steve provided oversight for various county departments, wrote and lobbied for legislation, and made recommendations on behalf of the county executive.

Before their county government roles, Tricarico served as the Chief of Staff for the New York State Assembly, Fifth District. In this position, they supervised a legislative aide staff and conducted research on government and political issues affecting the district.

Tricarico began their career as an Aide to the Mayor and Village Clerk for the Incorporated Village of Mineola. Steve worked on various committees, organized community forums, and updated village databases.

Steve Tricarico completed their education in a chronological order. Steve first attended Shoreham Wading River High School from 1998 to 2002, where they obtained a Regents Diploma. Then, from 2002 to 2006, they studied at Hofstra University, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, History, and Public Affairs. Continuing their education, Steve Tricarico pursued a Master of Applied Positive Psychology (MAPP) degree from Stony Brook University, completing it in 2007. Lastly, they attended Stony Brook University again from 2011 to 2013, where they completed their Executive MBA with a concentration in Management.
