Vic Ward currently serves as the Chief of Police for Carolina Beach, NC, a role held since December 2020. Prior to this position, Vic held the title of Director of Security & Transportation at SearStone Retirement Community from January 2020 to December 2020. Vic's extensive law enforcement experience includes serving as Deputy Commander with the North Carolina State Highway Patrol from May 1990 until October 2019. Vic Ward holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice from the University of North Carolina Wilmington and a Master’s Degree in Justice Administration from Methodist University. Additionally, Vic participated in the FBI National Academy (Session 249) and completed the Administrative Officers Course at the Southern Police Institute (Session 111). Currently, Vic is enrolled in the Fusion Center Leader’s Program at the Naval Postgraduate School, ongoing since 2016.
