James Martin

James Martin is a seasoned IT professional with extensive experience in system and cloud administration, currently serving as a Senior System/Cloud Administrator at the Town of Cary since September 2016. In this role, James leads Infrastructure and Networking teams, spearheads smart city initiatives, and has developed a comprehensive Exchange Online migration plan. Previous experience includes positions at Capital Bank as a Systems Administrator, where James managed infrastructure changes and VMware implementations, and at Varonis as a Technical Support Engineer, providing tier two technical assistance. James also honed technical skills at Cherry Bekaert LLP, contributing to software application upgrades and infrastructure setup, and served in the US Navy as an Information Systems Technician. James holds an Associate's Degree in Information Technology Security from Wake Technical Community College.
