Debra Grannan

Debra Grannan has extensive experience in urban planning and community engagement, currently serving as the Assistant Planning Director and Certified Zoning Officer for the Town of Cary since July 2005, after previously holding the position of Senior Planner. Grannan also contributes to the Cary Players Community Theatre as Chief Operating Officer since June 2006. Prior roles in the Town of Cary's Inspections and Permits Division include Addressing Specialist and Permit Technician from December 1991 to July 2004. Additionally, Grannan worked as a Travel Manager and Meeting Planner at NW Ayer Advertising from June 1986 to October 1988. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Multi-/Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus on Cultural and Community Relations from North Carolina State University, achieved between 1993 and 2003, alongside earlier studies at East Carolina University from 1977 to 1979.
