Alex Carrasquillo

Alex Carrasquillo is an experienced media professional currently serving as Media Relations Manager and Community Safety Public Information Officer for the Town of Chapel Hill, NC, since August 2021. In this role, Alex supports communications goals through advanced writing, graphic design, multimedia production, and training, while fostering strong relationships with community members and media outlets. Previously, Alex held various producer positions at notable news organizations, including leading morning news production at ABC11 Eyewitness News, WXII 12 News, and WJCL ABC, along with experience as a Weekend Assignment Editor at WRAL-TV. Alex possesses a Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a minor in Journalism from North Carolina State University.
