Christine Owens has over two decades of experience in municipal planning and development. Currently serving as the Assistant Town Manager and Director of Planning and Development for the Town of Cumberland since September 2008, Christine previously held the position of Planning Director for the Town of Avon from 2005 to 2008. Prior roles include Environmental Planner at the Northwest Indiana Regional Planning Commission and Community Development Planner for the City of Valparaiso. Christine Owens holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Policy Analysis from Indiana University Northwest, obtained between 1997 and 1999, and attended St. Joseph's College from 1995 to 1997.
