Rachel Thompson

Rachel Thompson is an experienced communications professional currently serving as the Communications Officer and Digital and Marketing Coordinator for the Town of East Gwillimbury since March 2022. Previously, Rachel held the position of Communications Coordinator at the Municipality of Clarington, and the role of Manager, Marketing and Communications at the Whitby Chamber of Commerce. Additional experience includes positions at the Municipality of Port Hope as a Marketing and Tourism Associate, Manager of Events for Jennifer Ashleigh Children's Charity, and Sponsorships & Community Investment Associate at Tangerine. Rachel Thompson holds a Bachelor of Arts in Digital Media Studies & Communications from Ontario Tech University and a degree in Advertising and Marketing Communications from Durham College.
