Val Adema

Val Adema has extensive experience in the field of finance and accounting. They started their career in 1999 at York Region, where they worked as a Manager of Financial Policy and Systems for almost 20 years. In 2018, they joined Targeted Accounting as a Client Relationship Manager and Accounting Consultant. They then moved on to work at the Town of East Gwillimbury, first as a Manager of Financial Services from 2019 to 2020, and currently as the Director of Finance/Deputy Treasurer since 2021.

Val Adema completed their Bachelor of Commerce degree in Business/Commerce, General from Athabasca University Faculty of Business from 2011 to 2012. Afterward, they pursued a CPA (Certified Professional Accountant) designation from Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada) from 2008 to 2014.
