Amy E. Smith

Amy E. Smith serves as the Select Board chair for the Town of Georgetown since May 2023, having previously been a member of the Select Board from May 2021 to May 2023. Smith has extensive experience in social media consulting, having operated The Social Media Smith from March 2017 to January 2020, and has worked as an instructor at Newburyport Adult and Community Education, teaching small business owners about social media strategies. Prior roles include senior technical documentation specialist at Pegasystems, adjunct instructor at Northeastern University Online, information architect and documentation manager at IBM, and documentation manager at PTC and Fidelity Investments. Smith holds a Master’s in Technical and Professional Writing from Northeastern University and a BS in Biology from Binghamton University.
