Michael Makuch

Michael Makuch is an experienced fire safety and engineering professional currently serving as Fire Marshal for the Town of Glastonbury, CT since May 2023. Before this role, Michael provided consulting services focused on construction engineering, site safety, and compliance with fire and building codes since October 2018. Previously, Michael held various positions at the University of Connecticut, including Deputy Fire Chief for Life Safety and Physical Security Systems from February 2012 to September 2018, and multiple roles within the University of Connecticut Fire Department from April 1994 to September 2018, such as firefighter, deputy fire marshal, shift commander, and deputy chief.
