J. Scott Chase, ICMA-CM, AICP, serves as the Assistant Town Manager for the Town of Holly Springs since January 2019, following a role on the Board of Directors for the North Carolina Beach, Inlet & Waterway Association from November 2017 to January 2019. Previous positions include Town Manager for the Town of Swansboro from June 2015 to January 2019 and Planning Director at The Wooten Company from October 2012 to June 2015, where notable projects ranged from land use studies to recreational master plans. Additionally, J. Scott Chase held the Director of Planning & Inspections role at the City of Havelock from 2006 to 2012 and participated in several boards and committees related to planning and development throughout the region. Educational achievements include a Master of Science in Construction Management from East Carolina University, along with various certifications and courses from UNC Chapel Hill's School of Government, culminating in extensive expertise in municipal administration, community development, and economic development.
