Town of Huntersville
Clay Heath, P.E. is an experienced engineering professional currently serving as an Engineering Project Manager for the Town of Huntersville since November 2023. Prior to this role, Clay worked as a Civil Engineer for the Town of Harrisburg, NC from December 2021 to November 2023, and held the position of Engineer III at Freese and Nichols from December 2020 to December 2021. Clay's career began as a Civil Designer at WK Dickson & Co., Inc. from January 2018 to December 2020, and included an earlier position as a Co-op Student with Crowder from August 2015 to May 2017. Clay holds a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

The Town of Huntersville is one of the fastest growing communities in North Carolina with a population of over 60,000. Huntersville is an excellent place to live, work and play. The town was incorporated in 1873 and operates under a Council-Manager form of government. The Town Board of Commissioners consists of a mayor and six commissioners. The Town has 180 plus employees working in six departments: Administration/Finance, Engineering, Public Works, Parks and Recreation, Planning, and Police. In addition, the town works closely with the volunteer fire department (Huntersville Fire), the regional economic development agency (Lake Norman Economic Development), and two enterprise funded organizations (Electricities and Huntersville Family Fitness and Aquatics).
