David Willard

David Willard has a diverse work experience in the field of fire and rescue. David started their career as a Firefighter with the City of King Fire Department in 1999 and worked there until 2002. David then joined the Town of Kernersville in 2000 as an Engineer-Fire Department and later became the Battalion Chief of Training in 2014. In this role, they were responsible for creating and managing the training program, assisting with policy creation, and managing record keeping software. Additionally, they worked as the Fire Chief at Walnut Cove Fire & Rescue from 2012 to 2019, where they were responsible for managing a 43-member department and overseeing various duties ranging from budget preparation to emergency scene management.

David Willard earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Fire & Emergency Services Administration from Fayetteville State University between 2016 and 2018. Prior to this, they obtained an associate's degree in Fire Protection Technology from Forsyth Technical Community College from 2011 to 2013. David also attended the University of North Carolina at Charlotte from 1993 to 1995, but their degree and field of study during that time are unknown. Their secondary education was completed at South Stokes High School from 1990 to 1993.
