Benjamin McDonald

Town Councilor at Town of Knightdale

Benjamin McDonald is an experienced educator and public servant with a strong background in social studies instruction and community engagement. Currently a Social Studies Teacher at Wake County Public Schools since August 2008, Benjamin has implemented inquiry-based instructional models and cloud-based collaboration within the curriculum. As a Town Councilor for the Town of Knightdale since February 2016, Benjamin focuses on sustainable development, infrastructure resilience, and community inclusivity. Additionally, Benjamin has served as Vice-Chairman of the Land Use Review Board and held leadership roles in community organizations, including a term as Chairman of the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board. Benjamin holds a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from North Carolina State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Middle Grades Education from Campbell University.
