Veronica A. Carter

Veronica A. Carter serves as an elected Councilmember for the Town of Leland, a rapidly growing municipality in North Carolina with over 31,000 residents, managing a $50 million budget and overseeing 205 employees. Additionally, Veronica holds the position of Commissioner for the U.S.S. North Carolina Battleship Commission and has been an active Board Member for the North Carolina Coastal Federation since 2007, focusing on coastal protection and restoration. Previous contributions include serving on the North Carolina Secretary of Environmental Quality's Environmental Justice and Equity Board and the Brunswick County Habitat for Humanity Board. Veronica has extensive experience as a consultant in logistics, operations, and management, alongside holding roles in multiple non-profit organizations dedicated to advancing environmental justice. Educational credentials include a BA in Political Science from Fordham University and an MPA in Public Administration from Troy University.
