Shawn Matheson Cmm III

Shawn Matheson CMM III, CD currently serves on the NFPA Fire Officer Technical Committee as of January 2024 and holds the position of Division Chief of Training at Milton Fire & Rescue Services since August 2023. Previously, Shawn held several key roles including Chief Training Officer at the Town of Oakville from January 2021 to August 2023, Assistant Chief Training Officer at Oakville Fire Department from November 2017 to January 2021, and a series of positions within Mississauga Fire and Emergency Services from 1995 to 2014, culminating as Division Chief Training Officer. Additional experience includes work as Program Coordinator for the Fire Service Management Certificate at Humber College and a distinguished career as a Canadian Forces Officer, retiring as LCol in October 2011. Shawn's academic credentials comprise a Bachelor's degree in Public Safety & Administration from Justice Institute of BC, alongside other specialized training in emergency management and command.
