Chris Lawson

Chris Lawson is an experienced planning professional currently serving as Planning Manager for the Town of Morrisville since September 2018. In this role, Chris heads the Development Review Committee, ensuring high-quality site plan reviews and supervising development review staff. Prior to this position, Chris worked as Planner II, where responsibilities included reviewing various development applications and leading meetings with planning boards. Chris's career began in 2014 as a Zoning Inspector I for the City of Virginia Beach, followed by a role as Planner I and Subdivision Administrator for the County of Pitt. Chris holds a Master of Arts in Geography and a Bachelor of Science in Urban and Regional Planning, both from East Carolina University.
