Beth Whisman

Beth Whisman has a diverse work experience in the field of cultural arts and media. Beth has worked in various roles including Director of the Cultural Arts Department and Children's Discovery Museum at the Town of Normal, IL since 2018. Prior to that, they served as the Executive Director of the McLean County Museum of History from 2016 to 2018 and as the Director of Development from 2013 to 2016. Beth also has a background in news and radio, having worked as a News Director & Midday radio host at WJBC from 2006 to 2013 and as a News Director at WEKY from 1997 to 1999. Beth has freelanced as a writer at Illinois State University in 2009.

Beth Whisman has a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Mass Communication/Media Studies from Eastern Kentucky University. In 2013, they also attended the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy at IU-PUI, where they studied Principles & Techniques of Fund Raising. Additionally, they hold a certification in CPR and First Aid from the American Red Cross.
