Jon van der Heiden

Jon van der Heiden has a diverse work experience in finance and accounting. Jon began their career as an Administrative Accountant at Hald-Nor Credit Union in 2003 and worked there until 2008. Jon then joined KPMG Canada and progressed from Staff Accountant to Senior Accountant and ultimately becoming an Audit Manager. In 2014, Jon transitioned to IKEA Group where they served as the Accounting & Reporting Team Leader for a year. Since 2015, they have been working at the Town of Oakville, holding various positions such as Manager, Accounting Services, Interim Director, Financial Operations, Deputy Treasurer and Manager of Accounting, and presently, Deputy Treasurer and Director of Finance.

Jon van der Heiden completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Business at Redeemer University from 2003 to 2008. Jon also pursued further education at the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada), however, specific details such as the duration and degree obtained are not provided.
