Nina de Vaal has a diverse work experience in various roles within the field of recreation, culture, and planning. From 2004 to present, they have held the position of Director of Recreation and Culture at the Town of Oakville. Prior to that, from 2000 to 2004, they served as Director of Recreation and Property Services at the Town of Caledon. Before their work in municipal government, Nina worked as a Planning Consultant at Nina de Vaal and Associates from 1992 to 2000.
Nina de Vaal obtained their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Political Science and Government from Queen's University, where they studied from 1972 to 1975.
