Michael Lawson serves as the Assistant Town Manager of Operations for the Town of Parker, Colorado, since August 2023. Additionally, Lawson has been an Affiliate Faculty member at Colorado Christian University since May 2017, focusing on curriculum creation and instruction for the Master's of Public Administration program. Previously, Lawson held various roles at the City of Woodland Park, including City Manager and Assistant City Manager, from October 2020 to August 2023. Lawson's extensive experience at the City of Aurora spanned over a decade, during which multiple leadership positions were held, including Manager of Special Projects and Finance and Budget Program Manager. Early career experience includes work as an Associate Management Analyst for the City of San Diego and as a Web Producer for the San Diego Daily Transcript, among other roles. Lawson holds a Master's in Public Administration from the University of Colorado Denver and a Bachelor's in Political Science from UC San Diego.
