Leanne Drake

Leanne Drake is a highly experienced professional in community development and urban planning, currently serving as the Community Development Director for the Town of Sandwich since July 2024. Previously, Leanne held the position of Assistant Town Planner at the Department of Planning and Economic Development from January 2018, providing essential support to various boards and committees by reviewing applications and offering project recommendations. Leanne has also worked as Community Development Staff for the Town of Chatham, where assistance was provided on long-term planning projects. Leanne's early career included roles such as Office Assistant at Camp Wingate*Kirkland, Sales Associate at Hollister Co., and Childcare Assistant at Scallywags Afterschool. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Regional and Urban Planning from University College Dublin and a Bachelor’s degree in English and Geography from the University of Galway.
