Nicholas J. Wharton

Town Manager at Town Of Severance

Nicholas J. Wharton, MPA, ICMA-CM has extensive experience in municipal management, currently serving as the Town Manager for the Town of Severance since January 2014, with previous roles as Assistant Town Administrator and Best and Brightest Intern. Prior experience includes a position as a Historic Preservation Intern with the City of Boulder and another with the City and County of Denver. Nicholas J. Wharton also held the King Fellow title while studying at the University of Colorado Denver. Educationally, Nicholas J. Wharton holds a Master of Public Administration and a Master's degree in Public/Applied History from the University of Colorado Denver, as well as Bachelor's degrees in Sociology and American History from Colorado State University.

Town Of Severance

The Town Board operates under a Board-Manager form of government. The Mayor is elected to serve a four-year term and voters elect six trustee members to overlapping four year terms. The Board of Trustees meets on the first and fourth Tuesday of each month at the Severance Town Hall and Work Sessions are held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month all which start at 6:00 p.m.
