Brian McNellis

Brian McNellis is a seasoned planning professional with extensive experience in urban and landscape planning. Currently serving as Senior Planner for the Town of Snowmass Village since May 2017, Brian previously led BMC Planning + Design as Principal and Owner from February 2011 to July 2023, providing comprehensive planning services in Aspen, Colorado. Prior roles include Senior Planner for the Town of Basalt, where responsibilities encompassed historic preservation and environmental planning, and earlier positions as a landscape architect/planner at Bluegreen and Design Workshop, as well as a planner at Stan Clauson Associates, Inc. and Pitkin County. Brian holds a Master's degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Colorado at Denver and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Colorado Boulder.
