Irina Mocanu

Irina Mocanu's work experience includes various roles at the Town of Surfside, starting in 2013. Irina has worked as the Chief of Staff, Project Manager, Senior Executive Assistant to the Town Manager, and Assistant to the Town Attorney. Irina also served as an Intern at the Office of Vice Chair Lynda Bell in Miami-Dade County. In addition, they have experience as a Principal Inspector and Major Lieutenant at the Centre for Combating Economic Crimes and Corruption of the Republic of Moldova, where they provided support to international experts and drafted memoranda of understanding in anti-corruption and money laundering fields. Prior to that, they worked as a Legal Adviser at the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Moldova.

Irina Mocanu obtained a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree from Florida International University from 2012 to 2015. Before that, they completed a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree in International Law from the Free International University of Moldova in 2007. Irina'sundergraduate education includes a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in International Law and Legal Studies, also from the Free International University of Moldova, in 2006.

In addition to their formal education, Irina Mocanu also holds a Project Management Certificate from Cornell University, which they obtained in September 2019.
