Bill Waters

Bill Waters has extensive experience in law enforcement, currently serving as Lieutenant of the Swampscott Police Department since November 2019, overseeing shift operations as Watch Commander. Bill Waters created the Marine Unit in 2018, which functions as the primary law enforcement agency for Swampscott's territorial waters, and holds the position of Harbormaster since March 2017. Previously, Bill Waters served as Police Sergeant from September 2001 to November 2019, leading evening shift operations and responding to critical incidents. A brief tenure as Detective Sergeant involved overseeing the criminal investigations division. Bill Waters began the law enforcement career as a Police Officer in both the Nahant and Peabody Police Departments. Educationally, Bill Waters earned a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice/Police Science from Curry College and is currently pursuing further education at Roger Williams University while undergoing FBI LEEDA training.
