Coral Cavanagh

Coral Cavanagh, AICP, currently serves as a Planning Commissioner for the Town of Truckee since May 2023 and as a Trivia Host for Glamorous Rear Deck Productions since February 2023. With a rich background in planning and consulting, Coral's career includes roles as the President and lead writer at Curalium Consulting from November 2003 to March 2024, focusing on making scientific and engineering documents accessible. Previous experience includes working as a Water Resources Planner at CDM Smith from 1988 to 2003, where Coral designed stakeholder involvement processes for public agencies, and as an Associate at the Consensus Building Institute from 1995 to 1996, researching stakeholder preferences in conflict resolution. Coral holds a Master's degree in City Planning from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (1994-1996) and a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Stanford University (1983-1987).
