Lynn Baumgartner

Lynn Baumgartner serves as a Program Analyst II in the Housing Division for the Town of Truckee since October 2020, focusing on increasing affordable housing options for local workers through various programs. Previous experience includes roles such as Administrative Technician for the Town Clerk, where administrative and planning support for housing programs was provided, and Development Associate at Mountain Area Preservation, promoting conservation efforts in the Truckee-Tahoe region. Lynn also directed the Sierra Nevada AmeriCorps Partnership Program at Sierra Nevada Alliance, overseeing numerous AmeriCorps members and initiatives. Early career roles included research positions at the Center for Nanotechnology in Society and the University of California, Santa Barbara, along with community outreach work for ReUse Works and fundraising at Western Washington University. Lynn holds a Master's degree in Environmental Science & Management from UC Santa Barbara and a Bachelor’s degree in Geology and Chemistry from Western Washington University.
