Dana Peznowski, CRCM has extensive work experience in various roles related to risk management, compliance, and legal matters in the mortgage industry. In their most recent position as Chief Risk Officer & General Counsel at Towne Mortgage Company, they provided expertise on federal and state laws and regulations, oversaw risk management policies, and worked with senior management to make strategic decisions. Dana was also responsible for licensing and insuring matters and reported to the Board Committee on risk. Prior to this role, Dana served as Deputy Director of Compliance at Towne Mortgage Company, Compliance Partner Lead at Flagstar Bank, and Associate Counsel at Kus, Ryan & Associates, PLLC. Dana gained experience in legal matters through internships at Project Salute, Kus, Ryan & Associates PLLC, and with Honorable Judge Colleen O'Brien.

Dana Peznowski, CRCM has a strong educational background in law and business. In 2010, they obtained their Juris Doctor degree from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, where they specialized in law. Prior to that, from 2004 to 2007, they earned their Bachelor's Degree in Marketing & Management from Oakland University. Additionally, from 2002 to 2004, they studied Business Administration at Western Michigan University.

In terms of certifications, in 2016, Dana obtained the Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) certification from the Institute of Certified Bankers. Dana also holds a State Bar of Michigan Law License, which they obtained in November 2010 from the State Bar of Michigan.
